Another day....another project.

On this beautiful Sunday afternoon, Rotarians Joey Guffey, Luke Eckels (on his 4th day as a member) & Ron Gongaware came out to help the Norwin Elks with a renovation project for their flag pole.

They sanded it down, using a bucket truck from Luke's business, Steel City Arborist for the higher portion, and gave it a fresh coat of paint.

Thanks guys for taking time on your day off to help a great organization.

What an amazing night for White Oak Rotary!

This weeks speakers were Tara and Heather from Michael's Ovation, a non-profit setup in the name of Heather's late son Michael to spread joy with the activities that Micheal loved so much, such as animals, music, and biking.

As we progressed to the business side of our meeting, we were reminded of the saying "If you build it they will come: When you build a club focused on service betterment of the community, and fun, those willing to help will show up.

Tonight Club President Craig Anlauf and Past District Governor Dan Dougherty had the honor of inducting 5 new members!

Welcome to Rotary Alex, Matt, Luke, Max and AJ, we're thrilled you chose to join us and we can't wait to see the difference you'll make!

Wednesday night in our beautiful Renzie Park with White Oak Rotary Club who sponsored Sunnie Vibes Studio Yoga & Wellness .

The vibe was on fire with beautiful music and beautiful people.

Today was the 6th Annual White Oak Rotary Sporting Clay Shoot at Buffer Creek Sporting Clays.

This annual event raises money for our club to contribute to The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund, which helps make a community project possible each year, such as our project this year to battle food insecurity to local students each weekend.

We had a great turnout, fantastic weather, good food for lunch afterwards, and plenty of fun & fellowship.

We can't wait to go back next year on Sunday, May 16, 2027 for the 7th Annual Shoot, information will be released in the coming months.

Today our members, along with members of the White Oak Rotary IMPACT Club, refurbished the outfield wall at the LaRosa Youth Club ballfield.

A few years we built this wall, replacing the previous one and it took some damage during a recent storm that caused a small section to fall.

We installed new posts, raised the fallen section and reattached any loose boards.

Look for the opportunity next month to purchase your sponsorships again for the wall, with all proceeds benefiting the great programs they provide to local kids.

This past Thursday was an event that is a highlight of our year, our 16th Annual White Oak Rotary Scholarship Dinner held at the Country Place Event Center.

This year we were able to award (20) $1,000 scholarships to students from McKeesport Area High School, Serra Catholic High School, and Penn State Greater Allegheny. Included in that number were 10 scholarships that were fully funded by local sponsors to a student that met the desired criteria of their sponsorship.

This evening was made possible by the generous support of our Annual Golf Outing, which is held on Tuesday, July 28th at Edgewood Country Club.
