While our focus is our community of the Town of Geddes, we also share information and news that we feel may provide interest to our community, our PBA and our police department whether they are law enforcement r

The Geddes PBA's Second Annual Christmas Tree Giveaway is in the books and was a great success!

Thanks to our amazing supportive community, we were able to spread holiday cheer by donating beautiful Christmas trees to families across Geddes. Your kindness and contributions have made this event a shining success, bringing joy and festive spirit to so many homes.

A special shout-out to Marble Farms Produce for providing the trees and everyone who helped make this event possible - Members at Park School, Solvay Elementary, and Solvay Middle School. Your dedication and hard work truly embody the holiday spirit of giving and togetherness. We were able to donate 10 Christmas trees, including lights and a tree stand for each family chosen.

The Geddes PBA and the Town of Geddes are hosting a Toy Drive here at the Town of Geddes Town Hall, to support children in Onondaga County who could use a little extra joy this holiday season.

We're collecting new, unwrapped toys at our drop-box located in the Town Hall main lobby. The drive will run now through December 8th, 2025.

PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE — TOWN OF GEDDES POLICE DEPARTMENT
Syracuse Nationals | July 18–20 | New York State Fairgrounds

The Town of Geddes Police Department is issuing public safety guidance ahead of the Syracuse Nationals Car Show, scheduled for July 18 to July 20 at the New York State Fairgrounds, located in the Town of Geddes.
The event is expected to draw tens of thousands of attendees over the course of the weekend. Geddes Police will be working in close coordination with the New York State Police, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, and Syracuse Police Department to ensure a safe and orderly environment throughout the area.

Key Public Safety Information:
• Increased Police Presence – Geddes officers will have enhanced patrols both on and around the Fairgrounds. Expect to see a visible law enforcement presence throughout the duration of the event.
• Zero-Tolerance Enforcement – The Town of Geddes will be enforcing a strict no-tolerance policy for reckless driving, burnouts, DWI, and other dangerous behavior. Violators can expect tickets, arrests, and vehicles towed.
• Traffic Congestion Anticipated – Roads in and around the State Fairgrounds, State Fair Blvd, Bridge St, and surrounding corridors will see significantly increased traffic volume. Non-event traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes when possible.
• Obey All Traffic Laws – Drive safely, remain patient in traffic, and follow all posted signage. Pedestrian traffic will be heavy—please be alert and cautious at all times.
• Follow Law Enforcement Instructions – Officers may provide direction for traffic control, parking, or safety concerns. Cooperation is expected and appreciated.
• Enjoy Responsibly – This is a family-friendly event. We encourage attendees to enjoy the weekend, but to do so safely, respectfully, and responsibly.
