Kenny and Robbie Miranda were back in action this past weekend at the El Dorado Race Series, taking on some of Southern California’s strongest local talent.

The El Dorado Race Series has earned a reputation for attracting highly competitive fields and aggressive racing. With a mix of experienced veterans, elite-level riders, and up-and-coming talent, the races are often fast, tactical, and hard-fought from start to finish.

Great to see Kenny and Robbie out there representing the team, the Davis Phinney Foundation, and all of our sponsors while mixing it up at Eldo

Some recent updates and big results from the team over the past few weeks

Pete Tholl has been on a great run of form with:
🥇 Barrio Logan GP – 60+
🥈 Barrio Logan GP – 45+
🥇 Hunte Parkway Road Race – 60+
🥇 La Copa Omnium – 60+

Meanwhile, Ludovic Hilde was out racing the Golden State Race Series, taking third in the Time Trial and finishing 8th overall in the weekend of racing (crit, TT, road race)

Incredibly, Doug Pomeranz captured his second Fondo Worlds qualifier in Alabama, at The Cheaha Challenge finishing 1st in the 65+ age group, and 2nd overall in his race of over 80 riders.

And last but not least, Tony Brady, back home in Ireland, competed in the Ken Duff Memorial in Wicklow. Racing through the scenic roads around Avoca against some of the top juniors in the country, Tony finished in the chase group with a top-10 finish. It’s great to see Tony out there representing the Davis Phinney Foundation internationally.

Great job to everyone for some amazing racing and results these past few weeks. Proud to represent the Davis Phinney Foundation and all of our incredible sponsors across so many different events and disciplines.

Big weekend at the Belgian Waffle Ride, one of the toughest and most unique events on the calendar combining demanding miles, brutal climbs, and relentless terrain that tests every aspect of a rider’s fitness and resilience.

At Saturday’s 100-mile road race, the team delivered with three age group wins and three riders in the top 10 overall—Pete Tholl (2nd), Doug Pomeranz (3rd), and Danny Lee (10th). An impressive showing in a deep and competitive field.

Widely regarded as one of the most brutal and technical events in the country, Sunday’s gravel race mixed pavement, dirt, sand, and single track into a true test of strength, endurance, and bike handling. Sang Vu put in a fantastic ride, finishing 8th in his age group and 83rd overall against a stacked field of cyclists.

It was also great to see a couple of our TRU Cycling Club ambassadors out there racing and representing alongside the team.

Not to be outdone, last weekend also saw Robbie, Michael, Ludo, and Kenny line up at CBR, and the team’s run of results kept rolling.

In the 60+, Kenny fought through constant attacks, finally making a break of six to secure 3rd place, while also picking up multiple laps/primes along the way.

In the 50+, Ludo took 2nd place from a break, holding off a hard-charging field all the way to the line.

In the 40+, “new guy” Robbie Miranda went solo and put in a strong ride, making his presence known.

Michael Arluce had a solid weekend as well, racing strong in both the 50+ and 60+ fields.

And on the other side of the country, a huge congratulations to our east coast warrior John Hatchitt, who took 2nd place at a Gran Fondo National Series Qualifier in Georgia—joining Doug in qualifying for the National Series Finals later this year in Maryland.

Great team, great results!!

An incredible and important weekend for the team at the 2026 SCNCA Masters and Elite Road Race State Championships, held at the 36th Edition of the SLR Road Race, one of Southern California’s original road racing classics.

Racing on a rolling 15-mile circuit through the North San Diego countryside, the team delivered in a big way, with three State Champions crowned: Malcolm Hill, Doug Pomeranz, and Pete Tholl each taking the top step in their respective age groups.

These results were made possible with amazing support and teamwork from Tony Brady, Sang Vu, Danny Lee, and Ludovic Hilde, who all played key roles in helping the team secure these top spots.

Just as important as the results are for us, is the opportunity to achieve them while proudly representing the Davis Phinney Foundation and all of our incredible sponsors—carrying the mission forward every time we race.

A huge accomplishment on a demanding course and a proud moment for the entire team!

The annual Mulholland Challenge—a tough 85-mile timed race with over 10,300 ft of climbing—delivered another big day of racing through the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains, right in the backyard of our sponsor The Stonehaus.

Danny Lee took 1st place overall, while Dermot Carroll and Malcolm Hill each secured 1st place in their age groups. A dominant showing across the board on a course that never lets up.

Proud to represent the Davis Phinney Foundation and all of our incredible sponsors at events like this—continuing to show up across a wide range of disciplines and courses, and carrying the message of the foundation forward every time we pin on a number.

Under sunny Florida skies last Sunday, cyclists from across the country gathered for Gran Fondo Florida, the opening qualifier for the USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championship.

Winners in each age group in the Gran Route ( over 100 miles) qualifiers earn the chance to compete for a USA Cycling National Championship jersey and medal at the USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championships, which will be held in conjunction with Gran Fondo Maryland in September.

Third place in the qualifier went to our very own multiple USA National Champion Doug Pomeranz, who stopped the clock at 40:07.44. Another strong ride from Doug (when is Doug not riding strong??) and a fantastic result for him to start the national series.

Malcolm and Danny took on the Solvang Century last weekend—Southern California’s longest-running century ride through the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley.

The two stayed together throughout the day and crossed the line side-by-side, topping the KOM out of a 206-rider field. A great day on the bike and another strong showing for the team.

Really proud to see our teammate John Hatchitt take the win at the Southern Cross gravel race in Georgia this weekend. John recently left Southern California, and now calls North Carolina home continuing to represent the team across the Southeast.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day came when a rider who has been living with Parkinson’s for 22 years came up to thank John for what our team and the Davis Phinney Foundation represent. Moments like that are a reminder that what we’re doing goes far beyond racing.

Congratulations John, and thanks for carrying the team’s message out there.

(FYI John’s new team wear hasn’t arrived yet, thus last years kit)

Strong day of racing at the 39th Annual Roger Millikan Memorial Grand Prix, presented by California Bicycle Racing.

Doug and Pete went 1–2 in the 60+, with Doug also taking 4th in the 50+—a great showing across multiple age categories.

We also captured the Team Points win in the 60+, with Doug, Pete, Kenny, and Michael all contributing to the result. Depth and teamwork makes all the difference.

And yes… our new kits are finally out in the wild — more on that coming soon.
