In 6th grade band, students track their learning by completing Band Skills and Knowledge (BSK), mastering the theoretical and practical concepts necessary to be successful in the SMS band program. Beyond the Essential BSKs, students have the opportunity to earn up to two Silver BSKs and, beyond that, two Gold BSKs. Gold and Silver musicians will be recognized TONIGHT at the SMS band concert (6:30p @ Solon CFA). Congratulations to these students on their incredible accomplishment!

Happy Halloween from the SMS & SHS band students. 🎃👻

Thanks for coming out to support the bands’ combined performance last night. Continue that support by coming out to the mattress fundraiser TODAY at the middle school until 5:00 pm. Buy a pillow, sheet set, or a new mattress to help fund scary good performances like these. 🦇🎶

There’s no better community than the Solon Band Family!

Middle school band students hopped in a van to go watch the Solon High School marching band at IHSMA State Festival in Cedar Rapids today. We love seeing high schoolers and middle schoolers cheer each other on!

Congrats to the Marching Spartans on an excellent performance!🧡

This past week, almost 50 middle school band students, along with nearly 20 high school/graduated counselors, came together for Spartan Band Camp! We had so much fun playing great music, exploring our creativity, and building band community. Enjoy some pictures taken during our Phriday Photo Challenge. 🎶☀️
