It's official. The Soldotna Seed Library is back up and running at its new location at the Soldotna Public Library (by the fireplace). Check out seeds or drop your seed donations in the bucket. Seed Library weekly meetings are temporarily suspended while we take a short break. Stay tuned to this space.

Hello Patrons,
You may have noticed the missing drawers in our card catalog at The Goods. We are in the process of moving to our new location at the Soldotna Public Library. Stay tuned to this space as we look to re-establish our services there. Meanwhile, a pass a heartfelt THANK YOU to our host Willow King for her support and help in providing you this community service! We wish Willow THE BEST in her future endeavors!

We had a fantastic Soils Workshop with Jodie Anderson yesterday at the Soldotna Public Library and 28 attendees! Thanks to Jodie and her husband for making the long drive. Jodie gave an informative, engaging 2 hour talk and answered tons of questions. Thanks to our attendees, volunteers, and the Central Peninsula Garden Club (sponsor). We could not have done it without you all!

We had lots of compliments on the refreshments, so here are some details: Kombucha from Wild Currant (local) brought by MaryAnn D**e; kohlrabi, carrots, and cucumber (local) brought by Kay Gardener; freshly baked zucchini (local) bread and Peonies by Jeanette Pedginski, and orange juice and homemade oatmeal raisin cookies by Ann and Mike Gravier. Thanks to the crew and Mary May for set up and cleanup!

Happy Monday Morning Everyone! Announcing our August Soil Workshop on Saturday August 8, 2026 from 1-3pm at the Soldotna Public Library. We'll have lots of great discussion with Jodie Anderson, Director, UAF Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension and (of course) refreshments. We hope you join us!

Good morning all, We had another great workshop on Saturday, July 18th. Thanks to everyone who participated. Shout out to our instructors, Carly Pierson and Mitch Michaud of KSWCD; Mary May of KLFC; Jeanette Peginski and Ann Gravier of the Soldotna Seed Library for setting up; and last but not least Willow King for use of The Goods space and facilities. Special thanks to Kay Gardner for the giveaway bok choy plants and Build Up for donating pallets and materials. We had 14 participants and gave away the compost bins!

Good morning Seed Librarians. Just a reminder that the Soldotna Seed Library Group will NOT be meeting today (Thursday, July 9th). Also, as we have been notified that The Goods will be closed on Thursdays, we will post news soon on new meeting dates. Stay tuned!
