We’re excited to share the new “Be One of the None” billboard—a youth-led prevention campaign created through the SCOPE Health Council Youth Fellowship!
This campaign is all about flipping the script on prevention data and highlighting something we don’t talk about enough:
Not all students are using substances.
Our Youth Fellows wanted to shine a light on the positive side of the data and remind our community that there are many young people choosing to stay substance-free. Instead of focusing only on rates of use, “Be One of the None” celebrates the growing number of youth who are making healthy choices and choosing to be one of the none.
The billboard is one part of a larger youth-driven effort to:
-Celebrate positive choices
-Challenge the idea that “everyone is doing it”
-Help strengthen healthy social norms
-Empower young people to influence their peers
-Put the focus on what youth are doing right
We’re incredibly proud of our Youth Fellows for taking the lead in creating a message that is positive, empowering, and rooted in local data.
This is prevention with a different perspective:
Instead of asking, “How many are using?”
We’re asking, “How many are choosing not to?”
And there are a lot of them. 💙
Please help us celebrate our youth by sharing the billboard with your networks, schools, families, and community partners!
Be One of the None.
Because being substance-free is more common than you might think. We’re excited to share the new “Be One of the None” billboard—a youth-led prevention campaign created through the SCOPE Health Council Youth Fellowship!
