During our July 2025 Perspectives in STEM Speakers Series, Engineer and founder of AcaSTEMics, Jerome McQueen, PE, discussed how STEM education and opportunities changed his life and trajectory. From a 1.4 GPA to working at NASA, Mr. McQueen exemplifies the power of STEM to improve the educational and career opportunities for students in the US and around the world. Mr. McQueen’s journey from struggling student to esteemed engineer is not just inspiring but also a testament to the transformative potential of dedicated mentorship, access to quality resources, and a relentless passion for discovery. Mr. McQueen's story highlights the importance of supporting diverse pathways in STEM education, ensuring that students from all backgrounds can pursue their dreams and contribute to the innovations of tomorrow.

We hope Mr. McQueen’s experiences encourage educators, students, and professionals alike to foster inclusive environments where curiosity is nurtured and innovation thrives. As we look forward to sharing more stories like his, we invite you to engage with our community and explore the boundless possibilities that lie within the world of STEM. Let’s continue to champion the possibilities of STEM, paving the way for a brighter future for all.

The full video will be uploaded to our YouTube Channel soon. Stay tuned for more exciting updates and resources that will help bring the joy of STEM learning to everyone! And be sure to follow and join our mailing list to keep up to date with the latest news, events, and information.
