$10 Tuesday!

Transport is next week and we’ve only raise $126 out of our $2,000 goal!!

Gru, Ashton, Tank, and Crush are leaving next Wednesday to head to Canada.

Gru and Ashton have both been waiting for four YEARS and now it’s finally their turn! Ashton was pulled from a kill shelter in 2022 by another rescue, where he sat for 3 years until we pulled him last year. He now has a wonderful family waiting on him. Gru was also pulled from a kill shelter by the same rescue in 2022. He sat for 3 years until he went back to the shelter last year. We welcomed him into our rescue in July. He will be going into foster in Canada and has a few people waiting to meet him once he gets there!

Crush and Tank both came to us from a kill shelter in GA. We pulled Crush, along with his 4 siblings, and he is the last one waiting to find his family. He will be going into a foster in Canada, but already has several applications! Tank was from an abuse case. One of his back legs was broken from trauma. He had to have surgery for it but it had already started healing so it wasn’t an extensive surgery. His new family can’t wait to meet him.

We need to raise $2,000 to cover transport, broker fees, and health certificates. It cost $400 per dog just for transport and broker fees alone. Please consider donating. These dogs deserve so much more than the lives they were previously dealt.

🌟 Spotlight Sunday

$5 Friday

On October 15th, we have four dogs leaving Alabama to head to Canada. Ashton and Tank have their forever homes wanting on them. Gru and another dog will be going to a foster there.

Our fourth dog going will either but Otter or Crush. Otter has a met and greet this weekend. If her adoption is successful here, then Crush will be going to Canada.

Ashton has been waiting four YEARS for his forever home. He was saved from being euthanized for space in 2022. He was with another rescue till 2025 without any interest. We took him in mid 2025. We are so excited for him. His new family are really excited to meet him. They have already bought him a new collar and coat. ❤️

Gru has been waiting for his forever home for 4 years too. He was pulled from the shelter by another rescue then found himself back in the shelter after he had no interest and the previous rescue was undergoing major changes. We welcomed him into rescue a couple of months ago. He has a couple of applications in Canada who are interested in meeting him once he is there.

A message from our Founder/Director:

“Three years ago I held my boy for the last time and said one of the hardest goodbyes.

And three years ago Cruiser’s Legacy was born.

Cruiser was more than just a dog. He was part of my soul, and losing him shattered my heart. But rather than letting the pain and loss completely break me, I put it into creating a legacy that he would be proud of.

Cruiser showed me my love for rescue. He made me love the hard cases, the misunderstood, the underdogs. He showed me that the pain, blood, sweat, and tears are worth it to give these animals the love they have always deserved.

Over the past three years, we have welcomed 114 dogs and 8 cats into our rescue. 71 of those dogs were transported to rescue partners. 89 dogs were adopted either locally or through partners and 3 cats were adopted. We had to say goodbye to 8 dogs and 1 cat, but I know Cruiser was waiting for each one at the Rainbow Bridge.

We currently have 15 dogs and 2 cats in foster care. 1 of those dogs being hospice cases who will live out the rest of his days being loved endlessly.

Every animal we welcome into our rescue, every foster, helps heal a piece of my heart. But Cruiser will forever hold the biggest piece that will never be healed.

I want to thank everyone who has supported and continues to support our rescue. If it wasn’t for you all, none of this would be possible.

And to Cruiser, you saved me and helped me find myself. You are the reason I am still here. You gave me an amazing purpose in this life. I miss you every single day and I love you now, always, and forever.”

🐶 Meet Me Monday 🐶

Meet Jinko! The newest member of our rescue!

Our shelter contact reached out to us about this little boy who was terrified in the shelter. He was snapping at shelter staff and peeing and pooping on himself whenever touched. And due to his behavior, he was going to be euthanized if a rescue didn’t step up.

So last week, we welcomed him into our rescue, and since then we’ve learned how sweet this little boy really is!

Over the last week, Jinko has started to come out of his shell and has wanted nothing but love and attention from his foster parents. He also LOVES other dogs and doesn’t mind cats. He is about 1-2 years old and just under 20lbs.

Once he gets more comfortable and confident and we learn his personality and what kind of home he needs, he will be available for adoption.

In the meantime, we need to raise $300 to cover his neuter and the rest of his vetting.

Storme is ready for her forever home! She came into our rescue with 3 of siblings after being rescued from a cruelty case in Georgia. She is such a sweet girl and such a love bug! Let us tell you some facts about her.
