Spotlight Sunday 🌟
Ashton is looking for his forever home! See the comments from his foster mom below.
“The first picture below is from April 20, 2022. That is the day I picked him up from the shelter saving from being euthanized. He was at risk any time when another dog came in to lose his life for space. This sweet boy has been a rescue for four years without a family to call his own, and what makes me even sadder is he’s not even had the interest or if someone some interest we never heard back after reaching out when someone put an application in.
So let me tell you about how amazing this dog is even with his little quirks.
>When he finds his people that he knows cares about him, he loves them hard. He will always greet you with a warm tail and kisses. He brightens my day when I come home and he’s outside sunbathing and he does his little happy dance.
>He gets real excited when toys come out to play or he thinks it’s time to play fetch. He is very treat and toy motivated.
>He sleeps through the night in his kennel and rarely has accidents as long as he goes out on a schedule.
> He loves playing with other dogs, but seems to prefer to be the only alpha male dog. He’s not a fan of cats or small kids because they scare him.
>He does great on car rides and usually just sits and watches out the window.
> He is also hug fan of belly rubs and hugs.
As you can see, he’s very loved by us (his fosters) but we are not the right forever home for him. I know his forever family is out there. We just have to keep looking for them.
P.S. please only put an application in if serious about adopting him. My foster momma heart can’t stand the false excitement and hope anymore.”
