🍂 Thanksgiving is better when we share it together! 🍂

This Thanksgiving Day we are partnering with First Baptist Church Smithfield to host a Thanksgiving Community Meal.

🦃 Thanksgiving Day
🍽️ Meal served from 12:15–1:30 PM
📍 Colbert Ministry Center
125 S. Fourth Street, Smithfield
Please enter through the rear parking lot on Fifth Street.

We want this to be more than a meal. We want it to be a time of food, fellowship, community, and gratitude—a place where everyone who comes through the doors knows there is a place for them at the table. ❤️

We need our community to help make it happen!

🙌 Volunteers Needed
11:00 AM — Setup
12:15 PM — Serving
1:30 PM — Cleanup

🥘 Food Donations Needed
We are asking for side dishes and desserts to supplement the Thanksgiving meal trays.

During this training, we’ll go over the different areas of the Resource Center and what volunteers can expect when serving in each area. We’ll also cover training for the White Flag Shelter, how to de-escalate a situation, and what you need to know when volunteering during the colder months.

This is a great opportunity for new and current volunteers to learn more, ask questions, meet staff and other volunteers, and feel prepared to serve.
