Slatington Area Historical Society The Slatington Area Historical Society’s goal is to promote local history in the greater Slatington and Northern Lehigh area.

The Slatington History Preservation Committee, formed in 2013 as the Slatington 150 History Committee, aims to preserve history in Slatington through a variety of measures, including writing and reprinting two historical books on the history of Slatington, Pennsylvania - "Slatington and Surrounding Communities" (1989) and "Slatington at 150 Years: More Stories to Share" (2014).

Come visit our table at the History Expo this coming Saturday, May 23, at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum. The event runs from 10 AM - 4 PM. We will have brochures available from the Slatington area, our sports books available for purchase, and copies of our brand new America 250 commemorative book entitled Slatington Area Americana: The Centennial Years 1776 * 1876 * 1976. The event includes free admission to the museum all day, classic cars, celebrity appearances, the Allentown Band, and more!

Some photos from the NL America 250 Religious Day service from Sunday. The service was arranged and coordinated by The NL Pastoral Association and held at St. John's UCC Churchin Slatington.

Today is the Northern Lehigh America 250 Celebration Religious Day. A multi-denominational service will be held at 2:00 PM at St. John's UCC Church in Slatington. The event is sponsored by the Northern Lehigh Pastoral Association. Before attending the service fill up at the Walnutport Canal Association 's Annual Spring Breakfast from 8 AM - 12PM at the Walnutport Canal Pavilion.
