This morning, volunteers are out across Skaneateles and Spafford collecting donations for our local food pantries.

If you have a bag out, thank you.

If you received a Rotary food drive bag this week, please place it on your porch by 10am tomorrow for pickup.

Rotarians and volunteers will be collecting throughout the morning and delivering everything to the local food pantries.

🥫 We Need a Strong Finish This Week

We’re halfway through Food Drive Week, and we’re asking everyone in the community to step in and help.

If you’ve received a bag, please take a few minutes to fill it.
If you haven’t, you can still participate by putting together your own donation bag, or use the Venmo QR code above!

Cereal, canned goods, pasta, coffee, toiletries, it all adds up quickly.

Everything collected goes directly to the Skaneateles and Spafford food pantries.

This is a simple way to make a real impact, right here at home.

🥫 Food Drive Reminder

As our food drive approaches, we’re collecting non-perishable items to support the Skaneateles and Spafford food pantries.

Some of the most needed items include:
• Cereal
• Pancake mix & syrup
• Canned chicken or tuna
• Pasta & sauce
• Soup
• Coffee & hot chocolate
• Toiletries

If you received a bag, please fill it and leave it out for collection.

🥫 Skaneateles Food Drive Week is Here

This is one of those moments where our community shows up.

Over the next few days, Rotary members and Scouts will be dropping off collection bags throughout Skaneateles and Spafford. If one lands on your porch, we’re asking you to fill it with non-perishable items and leave it out by Saturday morning 10AM.

These donations go directly to our local food pantries, supporting families right here in our community.

Let’s make sure this is another strong year.

Rotary’s Polar Plungers ❄️🌊

Check out our dedicated Skaneateles Rotary Polar Plungers who braved the bone-chilling waters of Skaneateles Lake on January 31st!

This annual Polar Plunge raised funds for the Skaneateles First Department, SAVES, and the Skaneateles Education Foundation — all incredible organizations serving our community.

Huge thanks to our brave team: Jason Armijo, Ayham Boucher, Rosemary Mondo, Ed Evans, Jeff LaMarca, and Bradley Wilson.

Now that’s what we call Service Above Self!

We were pleased to welcome Scout Leader Sean Perham and Scouts Andrew Perham, Owen Cherry, and Hannah Cherry from Troop 61 as our speakers this week.

This hardworking group shared how Scouting for America helps young people serve the community, learn new skills, and have a lot of fun along the way. From expanding the garden at the Skaneateles Community Center and planting trees for the CNY Land Trust to earning merit badges and competing in the Tournament of Champions, it’s been a busy and successful year.

Troop 61 currently has 11 scouts and is looking to grow. A Cub Scout group is also forming locally. If you know a young person who might be interested, please help spread the word!
