Our trailer is complete! We received a generous donation from Venture Communication which allowed us to purchase a trailer to make deliveries and builds easier. This trailer allows us to haul more beds and all of our tools. We wanted to extend our heart felt gratitude for Venture Communications and give them a big THANK YOU for their support in helping make a difference in our community. We wouldn’t be able to do this without our community partners.

On Saturday, Our Saviors Lutheran Church hosted a bed build at Gregerson Salvage. Our goal was to complete 30 beds. We had 40 registered volunteers and built 32 complete beds and extra parts leftover from previous builds! It was a very successful day with wonderful people. This build set us up to continue delivering beds to children throughout the cold winter months. We couldn’t do this without your support!

🛏️Bunks Across America/Bren’s Build🛏️

Bunks Across America (BAA) is Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s annual initiative to bring together communities nationwide for the largest coordinated bed building event. Last year, BAA was our chapters first ever build. In May our beloved build manager, Brenda Oien, passed away. To celebrate her, we dedicated this year’s BAA build to Bren. SHP Sisseton, the South Dakota Highway Patrol Motor Carriers, and some of Bren’s family worked through rain and sunshine and built a total of 27 beds for children in the Sisseton and surrounding areas! This was our most successful build yet.

Thank you to the following, we truly couldn’t do this without you!

-South Dakota Highway Patrol Motor Carriers (Sisseton Port of Entry). Brenda loved working alongside you all and would be so proud of the work you did.
-Tri-State Lumber Yard, for the world’s best lumber.
-SHP Sisseton’s finest Core team members, for the long hours you spend making sure no kid sleeps on the floor in our town!
