With the first event down on the National Walleye Tour, it's time to move on to event number 2 at Mobridge, SD. During this event, we'll be fishing to raise money for Fishing for Families! Here's a little interview with Jenna and Ryan Block the founders of Fishing for Families to hear how and why the charity was founded and how it all works! You can also read about the charity and pledge to make a donation by visiting the website at www.fishing4sdcharities.com.

As always, if I win any prize money during the tournament, I'll donate 1/2 of the prize money back to Fishing for Families. The NWT pays down 33 spots with a minimum payout of $650.

You can follow my progress in the co-angler division of the NWT at www.outdoorteamworks.com.

No money is due now. At the end of the tournament season, each charity will send out invoices for your pledged amount and will make arrangements for payment directly with you.

That’s a wrap on te Lake Erie event and the first leg of the National Walleye tour as a co-angler! Finished in 61st place. Not quite good enough to cash a check and split with the Boys and Girls club of the Sioux Empire. My official weigh for the tournament is 56 pounds 12 oz. We will use 57 pound if you want to donate on a per pound basis.

What a day! Got to experience all of what Lake Erie has to offer. Big wind, big waves and big walleye! Sitting in 25th place! My pro, Danny Plautz was a true master!

Tomorrow will be a totally different day, light winds and a little rain. New day, new pro, new opportunity!

I’m in flight number 1 tomorrow, take off at 7:30 am est, weigh in at 3:00 pm est.

I was unpacking my stuff this morning after the long drive I’ve to Michigan for the first stop of the National Walleye Tour event as a co-angler. Much to my surprise, I found this! You all might think you have the world’s best spouse, but you don’t…sorry….i do!!! I have opened it yet or read it, but at this point it doesn’t matter. She took the time to think about me, get me a card and sneak it into my suitcase! Another great lesson from the wife!

Yesterday it was don’t pick up hitchhikers! Today’s lesson/advice….it’s the simple things to let your spouse know you love them!
