Thank you to everyone who showed up for another volunteer day at the Veterans Community Project of Sioux Falls. We are fortunate to have this organization in our community and proud to donate five more Samsung minisplits to the cause that we got to see in action!

Gary Gjesdal has been a local hero to the Plankinton Community for many years. After years of active support to local nonprofits such as the Mitchell Area Safehouse, Goodwill, Dakota Wesleyan University, and countless gifts to local community members in need, he was named the Mitchell Republic's Person of the Year in 2015.

The Heat For A Hero team was saddened to hear that Gary lost his home to a fire earlier this year. We were proud to be able to donate a new furnace and air conditioning system for Gary in his new home that was installed by our friends at Fisk Heating and Cooling.

Thank you for being such a great hero and role model in one of our local small town communities Gary!

Some pictures from our first project! We organized a volunteer day for the Veterans Community Project of Sioux Falls. Thank you to Samsung HVAC America for helping provide the 5 mini-split systems used to heat and cool tiny homes for homeless veterans.
