Our Town is Cooler Than Yours!
Remember that guy in Sioux City who got arrested for spray-painting flowers on manholes?
Well, in Sac City, we’re turning that idea into a contest — because our town is just cool like that! 😎
We’re launching the “Sac City is Cooler Than Yours” Manhole Flower Art Contest!
Let’s brighten up our streets with creativity and color — one manhole at a time! 🌼
🖌️ How to Participate:
1️⃣ Pick a manhole in town (not on private property, unless you own it) that you’d like to decorate.
2️⃣ Submit the address of your chosen manhole and the name(s) of the person or group painting it.
3️⃣ Paint flowers around your manhole — make it colorful, fun, and about 10 feet wide to keep sizes consistent.
4️⃣ Be safe! Use cones or signs while painting and stay aware of traffic.
📅 Deadline:
We’ll take submissions through Sunday, November 16th.
📸 After all paintings are complete, send us a photo of your finished flower art.
We’ll post all the entries on our page — and the community will vote for their favorite!
🏆 The flower with the most votes by Nobember 21 wins $100 in Scrip Money! 💵
