PSA: Greenville County has a TON of free spay/neuter optionsđą
I keep seeing people say, âThere arenât any affordable optionsâ or âI canât get my pet fixed because itâs too expensiveâ
And apparently like no one knows that GCAC has free spay/neuter for low income families?
Yâall⌠Greenville County Animal Care Services offers multiple FREE programs right now.
â
FREE spay/neuter for qualifying low-income Greenville County residents
â
FREE spay/neuter for veterans living in Greenville County
â
FREE TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) for community/feral cats with NO income restrictions
â
Free core vaccines included with many of these programs
Even if you donât qualify for a free program, their regular prices are far lower than most private veterinary clinics. Cats are currently listed at $75!
- In my experience, they book about one month out. Be PROACTIVE.
There are also organizations like Speak for Animalsâ ďżź that help fund low cost spay/neuter services throughout our area for outdoor AND indoor cats
I know transportation, scheduling, and life in general can still be barriers. But if cost is whatâs stopping you, please check these programs before assuming itâs out of reach. And please STOP telling people thereâs no options. Ugh!!! Thereâs so many!
Every pet that gets fixed helps reduce shelter overcrowding, unwanted litters, and euthanasia. One appointment can literally prevent hundreds of kittens from being born into an already overwhelmed system
Feel free to share. A lot of people genuinely donât know these programs existđžđ
