Did you have adults who taught you life's important lessons when you were young, or did you have to struggle through things on your own? Either way, you've come to understand the immense value that a loving mentor adds to a child's life. One by One works with children and youth who do not have many adults who intentionally invest in their character or abilities. Our mission is to equip them to gro
w in their relationship with Christ and improve their quality of life. We do this through the Paso a Paso and Niños de Vida programs. Paso a Paso: Kids/youth join us for several hours a week for help with homework, tutoring, vocational skills training, counseling, and mentoring. Through this program they are encouraged to serve as junior leaders in other areas of ministry. When kids are matched with a sponsor, they receive school supplies and some special assistance to help ensure their success. Niños de Vida: Kids join us Saturday mornings for worship, teaching, skits, and games—all to guide them towards knowing Christ personally. We hope to see a new generation of people whose every decision isn't overshadowed by a lack of resources. More importantly, we hope to see a new generation who loves and serves others because the Word of God is active in their hearts.
