She was only a child when she lost her little brother. Now, years later, she put that grief into a song.
Victoria wrote a song to Levi “Stay” - She was his big sister then. She's still his big sister now.
This was a surprise for me and I wasn’t mentally prepared for it. It just came live on Spotify today if you would please listen to it so she can see that she is heard and supported. Rowan Wren is a name she chose as a nickname years ago and she is using it as her artist name. A Rowan tree is a tree of protection that blooms white flowers in the spring and red berries in the fall. ❤️. Levi died in the spring of 2012.

As many of you know we lost our son Levi who was only 3 1/2 years old in 2012. He simply died in his sleep. This year he would be 18.
One day everything was normal and the next day it wasn’t he was just gone. We were told sometimes children die with no answer’s. We have since discovered SUDC sudden unexplained death in childhood and have unfortunately realized Levi’s unexplained death has happened to too many other children. I will be sharing a banner with some of the SUDC children in the comments.
At the time our daughter Victoria was just 9 and in the blink of an eye her little brother was gone. That was the beginning of the end of that life for all of us. Our life as we knew it was over and we had to learn how to live with this extreme heartache without Levi. As an adult it was impossible to understand how this could happen. How does a 9 year old sibling understand it? After he died she asked us to find someone to give her vocal lessons she wanted to put her grief into music. So for many years that’s what she did. She rarely talked about her grief with us she would occasionally but not often. I always worried about her because the siblings suffer in silence afraid to bring it up to the adults. She is now 24 and has spoke more about her grief over the last several years. She said she didn’t want to talk about it because she didn’t want to see me cry or see anyone upset. She kept silent ALL those years to protect US, the adults. She carried all that weight alone. So this song really broke me. So many emotions for all of us.
It left me speechless.
