🐶 Jonathan, 10 lbs of Mixed Signals
Before his haircut, Jonathan looked like Toto from The Wizard of Oz. Now he looks like Toto after spending six months as a bouncer at a biker bar. It was an (unfortunate) necessity, as he was matted to the skin.
He’s too tough to share his emotions and past experiences… but if he would open up, he’d tell you about the neglect and abandonment he experienced from his previous family (who up and moved, leaving him in the front yard, wondering where his next meal was coming from).
But he’d never tell you all that for fear of looking weak. He’d far prefer to continue his tough guy persona so he doesn’t get hurt again.
Jonathan is a complex gentleman. He growls when he’s annoyed. He growls when he’s happy. He growls when you stop petting him. He growls while you’re petting him. Honestly, we’re not entirely sure Jonathan knows what growling means anymore.
His hobbies include:
• Demanding attention
• Complaining about receiving attention
• Looking deeply offended by everything
• Secretly loving every minute of it.
Will he bite you?
Probably not.
Would we bet our retirement on it?
Let’s not get carried away.
Jonathan prefers to interview potential friends personally. Once you’ve passed inspection, you’ll discover he’s a quirky, hilarious little guy trapped inside the body of a dog who thinks he’s auditioning for the role of “Tiny Werewolf #1.”
If you are looking for a shadow who follows you every step, hops into your lap the second you sit down and demands pets, all while staring directly into your face and growling, Jonathan is your boy!
All jokes aside, this guy is rough around the edges… but already has decompressed so much in the 5 days I’ve had him. He will be a great buddy for the right fit! Approved applications can schedule meet & greets!
