🌸 **Thank You, Mrs. Karen Edwards and TOTO’S HOLIDAY!** 🌸

Your generous Easter Basket donations brought big smiles and even bigger joy to our Sickle Cell Warrior Bunnies. Ten lucky little ones, ages 8–10, each received a basket filled with goodies and love.

We appreciate you for making this Easter extra special.
**Happy Easter!** 🐰💛

Dr. Angella Ferguson passed away at the age of 100 on January 6, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy that reshaped pediatric medicine and improved countless lives.

A pioneering pediatrician, Dr. Ferguson transformed the early diagnosis and care of sickle cell disease. She helped create a blood test that remains widely used and influenced treatment guidelines adopted across the medical community.

As one of the few Black women physicians of her time, she worked in spaces where she was often overlooked. Despite barriers, she remained focused on ensuring children received early diagnosis, proper treatment, and compassion.

Her journey began during the Great Depression, when she worked in her school cafeteria to help support her family. Those early hardships shaped her determination and belief that knowledge should serve humanity.

Dr. Ferguson’s contributions continue to impact patients and families worldwide. Her life stands as a reminder that perseverance, empathy, and science can change the course of history.
