Shreveport Bicycle Club Shreveport Bicycle Club is a recreational bicycle club with the goal of promoting safe and friendly cycling. The weekend rides are 30-60 miles.

The Shreveport Bicycle Club is a recreational cycling group, which holds weekend rides on Saturdays, weather permitting, throughout the year, and evening rides on Tuesday and Thursday through the period of Daylight Saving Time. Weekday rides are usually 30 miles. The average speed is roughly 17 mph or so for the duration. Either can be daunting for an inexperienced rider. Cyclists new to longer di

stances are encouraged to join our occasional casual rides, which are shorter and at a more relaxed pace. The dates of these rides will be posted as they are planned. Participants in our rides are required to wear a helmet. Riders younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult member or parent.

The LaSport Mini Series MTB race 1 is on Saturday May 9, 2026. It includes the following events: First Time Racer, Novice Cat 3, Sport Cat 2, Expert Cat 1, and E Bike Class 1 only.

Come out and enjoy good rides, fellowship and fun tomorrow morning! Sunrise Tri is doing an informal bike time trial at 7:30 am. Road, gravel and mountain bike rides for every skill level start at 8:30 a.m. There’s also a bike skills contest starting about 11 a.m.
