RASA wants our Northwest Louisiana Latino/Hispanic communities to grow and strengthen through our support and empowerment, and in an environment of respect and diversity. To accomplish this, our organization will provide services including education, community outreach, and social/financial services to people in Northwest Louisiana.

ANUAL TERCERO "REGALO DE ÚTILES ESCOLARES DE NWLA RASA

(SNLV/RASA:11, agosto) - SHREVEPORT, La. - Entre todos los eventos locales de regalos de regreso a clases en Shreveport-Bossier, uno de los más únicos y necesarios fue organizado por NWLA Rasa "calle el Regalo" (regalo) de útiles escolares para toda la comunidad, no solo las comunidades latinas, que ocurrió durante el fin de semana.
Dado que un número significativo de familias de estudiantes enfrentaban desafíos económicos y sociales difíciles, el “Regalo” fue visto como un beneficio para los padres que recibían útiles.

El chef Gabriel Balderas, restaurador local y cofundador de NWLA Rasa, supervisó la entrega de artículos escolares esenciales y mochilas que él y la junta directiva de RASA adquirieron para el tercer evento anual, celebrado en el Highland Center el sábado 9 de agosto. "Nunca rechazamos a nadie", declaró Balderas mientras diversos padres y niños llegaban a recoger los artículos esenciales para comenzar el curso escolar 2025-2026.
Los útiles escolares que proporcionó Rasa nos dieron un alivio económico, según nos comentó un padre. Los útiles escolares gratuitos representan varios cientos de dólares para las familias. Para apoyar el Regalo de Rasa, miembros de la Catedral de John Berchman donaron más de 100 mochilas. snlv/2025
