The 2026 Louisiana 4-H Shooting Sports state competition is underway! Our very own, Mason Darlington, competed in junior air rifle this morning for the first time and claimed 10th place. Great job, Mason! We are proud of you! 🍀

One of our Caddo kids, Gabe Meeder, participated in the 2026 Louisiana 4-H Southern Regionals competition in CMP no scope. He came in 4th and qualified for the state competition! Congratulations, Gabe!🍀

Lincoln CMP Scope Match

Registration is open for the 2026 Lincoln Sharpshooters open! This is a CMP scope match. We will have a split the pot for Top Shot per position. We will also have a steel plate speed challenge. New this year, we will have a coach or parent CMP scope relay. There will be lots of prizes, concessions, and fun!

2026 Louisiana 4-H Northern Regionals competition. Caddo parish kids competed in air rifle, CMP senior and junior scope .22, CMP junior no scope .22 and NRA 3P junior. Congratulations to Melanie Nunnery for her 7th place finish in CMP scope senior division. She and CMP scope juniors DJ Banks, Liam Hinckley and Gadin Wall will be competing at the state competition in a few weeks. Rylen Shane will be competing in NRA 3P juniors division at state. Mason Darlington placed 8th in junior air rifle and will be competing at state. Congratulations to these kids and all of our kids who participated in regionals! We are grateful to the parents, kids and coaches who put in the work preparing all season. We are so proud of our kids who represent Caddo Parish 4-H! 🍀💚🍀

Our CMP .22 Rifle Seniors did amazing at the Northern Regionals yesterday despite the cold and very windy weather. Congrats to Melanie Nunnery for placing 7th and advancing to State in April. Can’t wait to see how great the juniors do tomorrow.

We had another incredibly successful Try It Out Event today! We had approximately 130+ people come through! Thank you to Red River Range for continuing to host our event. Thank you to all of our shooting sports team members who volunteered, our coaches, coordinators, and our 4-H agent for all you do and ensuring this event is always safe and successful! We are Caddo! 🍀
