It was just three of us NCSAR K9 Handlers this blustery morning. We started at the "Spirit halloween" shop, then Sportsmans, and finished up at Harbor Freight. First prize goes to K9 McKenzie! She had no issues with those loud spooky moving monsters! Puppy Smaug did not like the loud noises, but managed to listen to her Handler. Lots of mental workout. We then ventured into the next two stores and touched on some obedience. Always training!

Nine hours of intense Live Find and HRD training for the NCSAR K9 team yesterday in the beautiful mountains of Greer, AZ. Some awesome Live Find challenges in these dense forests! It was single blinds for the HRD K9s and great water challenges. Just not enough time in one day. Lots of lessons to take home. Great day!

Clearing areas and working the scent pool while its cold, wet and rainy, were great challenges for both handler and Live Find K9s! After the LF K9s were done, Puppy Smaug and K9 Apollo worked on HRD. A great time was had!

Another great training scenario at the rodeo grounds yesterday morning! An Autistic man wandered away from his guardian. The NCSAR Live Find K9s had a great mental workout locating him amoung the bleachers, corrals, bull shoots, trash cans, etc..
We then proceeded to work our HRD K9s in a large open field. Puppy Smaug went first to give her a clean area. Great lessons on watching each K9 team work.

Today, the NCSAR K9 team refreshed our K9s on Human Bones vs Animal Bones. They all did great ignoring the animal bones, even Puppy Smaug. We also worked on different levels of odor. As always, good lessons with every training!
