Welcome to the First Day of Kindergarten, Future Bulldogs! 🐾🍎✏️

The big day is is tomorrow! We are so excited to welcome our newest students and their families to the Briarcrest community as our kindergarteners start their very first day!

The first day of school for kindergarten students will be a half day of school on Friday, September 4. Kindergarteners will be assigned to a morning or afternoon half day based on an alphabetical breakdown. More information will follow and a separate message will be sent to our kindergarten families.

Parents, after you say your goodbyes and drop off your little ones, please join us for a special Kindergarten Parents Gathering:

Tomorrow is First Day of School, Briarcrest Bulldogs! 🐾🍎

Welcome back to a brand-new school year! We are so excited to see all of our returning and new families in Grades 1-5 as we kick off another amazing year together.

A quick reminder for all parents and guardians: School dismissal time is now at 3:15 PM this year (5 minutes later than previous years). Please adjust your pick-up schedules and afternoon plans accordingly!

We highly encourage you to take your “first day of school” photo at home. Once you arrive at Briarcrest, you will walk into an excited/nervous bubble of energy that can make it harder to take that perfect school picture you want to keep to mark the moment!

We will be open on Sunday, August 30th from 9:00 a.m. until noon for back to school shopping for Shoreline School District students. Please arrive by 11:15 in order to have time to shop. Plan on spending about 30 minutes shopping to make room for other families.

We would love to have volunteers during this time to help us sort donations and volunteers to take discards to thrift stores. No need to sign up, just come! We will also be accepting donations from 9:00 to noon on the 30th.

Our regular Wednesday hours will start on September 9th, we will be open from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. when school is in session. Thank you to all of our volunteers and donors for helping put clothes and shoes on Shoreline students!

We invite ALL families to visit classrooms, meet the teachers, and drop off school supplies. Our new playground will be open and our PTA will be on site to provide information about how families can get involved at Briarcrest. Plus, PTA will also have popsicles/paletas for everyone in attendance!

4:00pm Doors open for families and classroom visits begin!
5:00pm End of classroom visits & Popsicles begin outside on the playground

The PTA will be setting up tables under the covered area outside to distribute PTA information and popsicles to families. Popsicle distribution will begin at 5PM.
