At this work party and the next few we will be focusing on clearing the bindw**d (Morning Glory) that has sprouted back and threatening to overtake our restoration site.

Sorry for the late notice!

🪏Work Party this Sunday! 🍀

April 12, 2026
10 am - 2:00 pm

Join us as we continue to enhance this park through removing noxious w**ds (mostly Himalayan blackberry, bindw**d, and English ivy, etc.). We will continue to move southward as we expand the work site.

Gloves and tools provided but feel free to bring your own.

As usual, dress in layers with a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and hiking or workboots.

Bring a refillable water bottle and snacks if you'd like. Light snacks, water, and coffee provided!

Thanks to everyone who has ever volunteered with us!

There is still much to do at Paramount Open Space and we’re always looking for volunteers.

Never too late to celebrate last year's accomplishments! 🎉

Because of Green Shoreline's incredible volunteers, in 2025 we accomplished:

⛏ 449 Work parties
⌚ 6,280 Volunteer hours
🌲 595 Trees planted
🌿 2,578 Native plants installed
🌎 8.54 New acres in restoration

Thank you to all of our Forest Stewards and volunteers for showing up, getting your hands dirty, and helping to restore Shoreline's urban forests. Here's to growing even more in 2026! 💚🌳✨

Join us for our next work party, which will be on a Monday instead of a Sunday!

MONDAY, March 2nd, 2026 — 10 am to 2 pm
Paramount Open Space
946 NE 147th St, Shoreline, WA

Besides w**d hunting, we might also have live stakes to plant of red osier dogwood. These will be planted along the wetter areas of our work site, so along the back (if you’re facing the site from 147th St) and run along the creek.

All ages welcome, no experience is necessary.
