Team Trooper!! Heads up! 🐾💛 Don’t mind my blips and bobbles, I taped this on the go in one quick take. And who blinks at $2400 vet bills? I’m not sure, but I guess we won’t!! Not quite sure what that means. 🤔 Words are hard sometimes when you’re a busy momma in the go, but I think you all will understand what I’m getting at and give me a little grace for my beautiful chaos. 🙏💛

🐾 Millie (pictured below) and Boomer will both need surgery on Tuesday. Each one had teeth pulled during a recent dental, and they did not heal properly. This tends to happen to our older babies. Without surgery, they run the risk of infection as food can get caught in the hole each has in their mouth.

There’s nothing quite like seeing a rescue dog find the family she was always meant to have. ❤️

We are thrilled that Zella was recently adopted by Pete and Linda, a wonderful retired couple who have completely fallen in love with her. 🥰 From the moment she arrived at her new home, she became the center of attention—and it’s clear she’s already being spoiled exactly the way every rescue dog deserves!

Zella now has a cozy place to call her own, plenty of time with her devoted new humans, and all the love, treats, snuggles, and adventures her heart could ever want. ☺️

Happy tails to our precious girl and her amazing adopters. Pete & Linda, thank you for opening your hearts and home to Zella. We couldn't be happier for all of you as you begin this wonderful new chapter together. 🐾❤️

This beautiful girl (tan and white) is still missing in Dallas. She got out of her harness at a potty stop on her way to meet her new family a little over a week ago. We are still hopeful that someone will spot her and help us get her to her new home. If you are in the Dallas area, or know people there, will you please share this post?

Oscar and Max aren't too keen on making friends at Trooper's Dream just yet. They are very happy to themselves, though! Here they are enjoying "treat time!" Yesterday was PLDS Alum Dan's (a.k.a. Lt. Dan's) Gotcha Day!! 🥳 Beverly tells us that he's brought so much love to her and her family.

The long days, the hard vet visits, the fundraising, the worry, and the hard goodbyes are all worth it when we see photos and hear about how well a dog has settled into their new home. Our hearts are full to see matches like this one made! Happy (belated) Gotcha Day, Dan! ❤️

This is not the news we had hoped to deliver to you today. Even though Dr. Todia thought Reggie was turning a corner yesterday evening, he ended up passing peacefully while sleeping. 😢 We know his golden years were better after he was pulled from a shelter in 2022 and brought to Trooper's Dream; but it still seems like he should have had more time with us. We are thankful to Dr. Todia and her staff at A to Z Veterinary Clinic for doing all they could to help our kind-hearted Reggie. We already miss you, sweet boy. 🐾💜
