Hello members and followers

If you remember back in February, we had talked about putting a handicap fishing pier at the intersection of Highway P and Thede Road just north of Shiocton. The completed project pictures are below, but the pictures do not do it justice. You would have to take a ride up and look at. The Wilkinson Excavating and his crew did a phenomenal job. This project was completed by Shadows on the Wolf which teamed up with a township of Bovina. Estimated costs somewhere about $24,000.

Hello members and followers

If you remember a couple weeks ago, Shadows wanted to do our part after the flood that we had here in Shiocton. We had talked about pressure washing the handicap fishing piers. Pictured is Jay Nelson and Mike Schmaling, both Shadows board members. They took it upon themselves to go around and clean and pressure wash all of the handicap fishing piers.

Hello members and followers

For the 2025 Shiocton chapter banquet members, we had on our live auction from Bryon Patchin with Piwie Lake Outfitters, a bear hunt. He gave us a huge deal on this item.

Glenn Bunnell purchased the hunt which was for 2 people. He ended up taking his son with him and as you see that they had extremely bad hunting conditions. It was snowing cold and windy, but Glenn‘s son Nathan ended up getting a real nice 345 pound bear.

Congratulations to Nathan on his bear.

Thank you Glenn for your support and also a huge thank you to Bryon up in Saskatchewan.

Hello members and followers

We’ve been having a problem at the Educational Center with semis turning around in the parking lot. We will be putting highway cones out at the entrances. If you are using the building you should still
be able to drive between the cones. We are trying to stop all these heavy vehicles twisting and turning on the asphalt.
