Here’s a neat story from the Sherman Animal Shelter.

After spending 17 days away from her home, a local dog named Alice was reunited with her family this week after a community member spotted her and contacted the shelter.

Alice and her family later stopped by with a thank you card and some bundt cakes for Cheyenne and the rest of the shelter staff.

We thought it was a kind gesture, and we’re glad Alice is back home.

It’s been a little bit since we checked in with the Sherman Animal Shelter, so we stopped by this morning to say hi to some of the residents.

The shelter is currently near capacity, and we met a few good-looking pups who would probably tell you they prefer a couch or backyard over another night in the kennel.

As your summer gets underway, consider adopting, fostering, or even volunteering. For families looking for something positive to be part of this summer, the shelter is a great place to start.
