After several months of planning, Yamhill County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a dynamic multi-agency training in the County from Tuesday, July 15 through Thursday, July 17.
Led by C3 Pathways / NCIER, this training will bring together law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, and emergency management professionals to discuss, plan, and simulate response to an active threat scenario.
While we understand how concerning it may be to see a large number of first responders congregated in an single location, Active Threat Response Training is a critical component of our mission to protect and serve. This training prepares our personnel to handle situations involving preservation of life incidents. This training is not just about tactical skills; it also encompasses decision-making under stress, effective communication, and coordination with other emergency services. Scheduled attendees include members of fire, EMS, and law enforcement from across the County and neighboring county agencies.
This training will be restricted to the Falconer-Chapman grounds and should not impact traffic or the surrounding area; all training is classroom-based and will not involve simulated firearm noise, loud hailing, or sirens.
