You are invited to join Executive Director Sarah Augustine and Organizing Director Doe Hoyer fall for a pilgrimage to the Homeland of the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation (Yakama Reservation) in central Washington.
Date: September 22 – 26, 2026
Cost: $1050, plus travel*
Registration deadline: August 1, 2026

What will we do on this pilgrimage? Engage with contemporary Indigenous realities, explore the histories of Indigenous Peoples, and examine the complexities of Indigenous-settler relations. Explore: what might it mean for your community to stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples and actively contribute to the work of truth telling and repair?
Participants will engage in daily reflection circles, tour the Yakama Reservation and Fort Simcoe, and participate in a dancing and drumming program with Mending Wings (a Native non-profit that empowers Yakama youth through various programs) among other activities.
Topics that will be covered include:
• Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women
• Maternal and infant health on the reservation
• Settlement and colonization
• Sustainable agriculture
• Ongoing displacement of indigenous people
• Recent Immigration and ICE in the reservation
