When our page is quiet we take that as a good thing. That means that we had no emergent rescues for pigs or birds.

However we are always here waiting in the wings to step up for our flock n herds.

If you're planning on getting a pet for your child, friend, or family member. Please do not do it during the holidays.
Statistically speaking most animals that are adopted during December or February end up being returned or put in shelters.
A pet is not a present.
It is a member of your family. It's a lifelong commitment.
Before you do choose to give it to somebody as a gift make sure it is the breed that they wanted that they're allowed to have it where they're living and that they are aware of what that breed requires regardless of the species.Make sure that the other household members are also on board with your new family member. Caring for the new member is a family responsibility.
Education is very important.
More animals get returned after Christmas then you would think.

Baby bear says hello.
Even though he is actually 43 years old we will always call him our baby bear.
Bear is a sulfur crested Cockatoo.
In the wild you would find his family in Australia.

And as a reminder remember anything with a mouth can bite, even your brother or sister.
So don't reach out to pet somebody's pet dog, cat, bird or anything without talking to the owner. And even that is not a guarantee that the animal does not bite. You should always take precaution when trying to pet an animal.
