Florida weather is throwing us a little curveball this morning! 🌧️⚾️
​We are currently in a rain delay here in Panama City Beach as we wait for this weather system to pass. As you can see from the radar screenshot in, we've got some heavy rain moving through the area right now.

​The boys are staying loose, staying dry, and are ready to go for our first pool play game against AHQ as soon as we get the green light to take the field! 🚦

​We’ll post another update as soon as we have an official, adjusted start time from the tournament directors. Stay dry, Bandits family, and stay tuned! 🧢⛱️

What a week for the DCA Bandits 14U! ⚾️🔥
​The boys brought their A-game to the diamond this week! Up and down the lineup, there were fantastic performances. Every single player contributed to the team's success, and the stats back up the hard work. Here are some of the standout highlights from this week’s action:
​🔥 Tearing it up at the Plate
​DJ Cousins: Racked up 4 hits, 3 RBIs, and scored 3 runs!
​Spencer Johnson: Collected 4 hits (including a double), 1 RBI, and scored twice!
​Sam Begle: Smoked 4 hits, brought in 3 RBIs, and scored 2 runs!
​Logan Jeffries: Grabbed 3 hits (including a clutch triple!), drove in a run, scored 3 times, and showed great discipline with 3 walks!
​Nate Begle: Hit safely 3 times (including a double), drove in a run, and scored twice!
​Aiden Searcy: Grabbed 2 hits, an RBI, 2 runs scored, and drew a walk!
​Kingston Washburn: Delivered 2 hits, 2 RBIs, a run scored, and a stolen base!
​Tyler Stager: Kept the line moving with 2 hits, 2 walks, and a run scored!
​🏃💨 Making things happen on the Bases
​Spencer Johnson: An absolute menace on the basepaths with 4 Stolen Bases!
​DJ Cousins: Swiped 3 bags to constantly keep the pressure on the defense!
​Sawyer Cahill: Scored 3 big runs and swiped 2 stolen bases!
​Aiden Searcy & Sam Begle: Both grabbed 2 stolen bases to put themselves in scoring position!
​Alex Welenken: Contributed across the board with a hit, an RBI, a run scored, a walk, and a stolen base!
​🎯 Clutch Moments & Mound Production
​Jeremiah Coleman: Mashed an RBI double, drove in 2 runs total, and also struck out 2 batters on the mound!
​Kaleb Dunn: Came up big with 2 hits, 2 RBIs, and added a strikeout while pitching!
​Sam Begle: Added to his massive day at the plate by hopping on the bump and recording a strikeout!
​🤝 A Tip of the Cap
​Before we look ahead, we want to give a massive shoutout to the Kentucky Rockers. It is always a true pleasure playing against such a well-disciplined team with a fantastic coaching staff. Thank you for the great competition and outstanding sportsmanship this week!
​We love to see this kind of top-to-bottom effort from our entire squad. Now it's time to rest up and pack our bags—the boys travel to play in Panama City Beach (PCB) in just a week! Let's bring this same energy to the beach! 🏖️⚾️💪

It’s been a minute since our last stat update, but the Derby City Bandits 14U certainly haven't slowed down! ⚾️🔥

The boys have been putting in the work. We tallied a 17 hits and pushed across 16 runs as a team, batting a rock-solid .321!

Here are some of the biggest highlights from our latest stat sheet:

💥 Raking at the Plate:

Spencer Johnson was an absolute force, going off for 4 hits (including a double and a HOME RUN! 💣), bringing in 2 RBIs, and scoring 5 runs!

Everett Franks came through clutch, tallying 3 hits (with 2 doubles) and a team-leading 4 RBIs!

Logan Jeffries stayed hot, racking up 3 hits (including a double) and scoring 2 runs!

DJ Cousins kept the line moving with 2 hits and an RBI!

🏃💨 Making Moves on the Bases:
The squad swiped 7 Stolen Bases to keep the pressure on opposing defenses! Spencer Johnson led the charge with 3 steals, while Kaleb Dunn, Logan Jeffries, and Sam Begle each added 1 bag of their own.

🎯 Dealing on the Dirt:
Our arms were bringing the heat! Both Kaleb Dunn and DJ Cousins led the pitching staff with 3 Strikeouts apiece, with Sam Begle shutting down batters to add another K to the mix!

We are so proud of the continued hustle, heart, and teamwork this squad brings to the diamond. Keep up the great work, Bandits! Let’s keep this momentum rolling! 💪🧢

Another great outing for the Derby City Bandits 14U! ⚾️🔥 The boys put in the work, and the numbers from this weekend speak for themselves.
​Here are some of the standout facts from the stat sheet:
​🔥 Hot Bats: The team tallied 16 Total Hits, batting an impressive .327 collectively!
💥 Double Trouble: We had 6 doubles on the weekend! Sawyer Cahill (who led the team with 4 total hits) and Sam Begle both smoked 2 doubles each. DJ Cousins and Tyler Stager also joined the party, roping a double of their own!
👀 Patience at the Plate: The boys showed incredible discipline, drawing 12 walks to keep the lineup moving.
🏃💨 Running Wild: We wreaked havoc on the basepaths with 10 Stolen Bases! Shoutout to Everett Franks for swiping 4 bags, followed closely by Kingston Washburn and Nate Begle who each stole 2!
🎯 Dealing on the Mound: DJ Cousins brought the heat, racking up 4 Strikeouts in just 2 solid innings of work!
