On December 20th we received a call from Yale. We were second in line for a possible donor for transplant. Sunday the 21st we got a call back and it wasn’t our time.
We were so close! I thank God for that glimpse of hope.
I know whomever was ahead of Ryan, needed it more and I pray for strength and an easy, speedy recovery to the man it went to. Although I don’t know him I pray for him and his family and I am so very happy he recieved his second chance at life! As for the donor, I know for sure you were an amazing beautiful human being and I pray for strength and comfort for your family.

Miracles do happen! They are real. Living in the hearts of Good People and the Grace of God!

We are deeply and profoundly grateful to everyone who has stepped forward thus far to be tested as a potential liver donor for my husband. Your willingness to explore this selfless act speaks volumes about your compassion, courage and generosity.
It is not a small thing to consider, giving a part of yourself-literally- for someone else’s chance at life.
Each of you took that first step. Whether or not you end up being a match has shown a level of kindness that has touched our hearts in a way words can never describe.
This journey has been one of uncertainty and emotional weight yet your support has reminded us we are not alone.
