A local mother was at the hospital with one of her young children when she called Love INC because her phone was about to be disconnected. With a large family at home, limited income,
missed work, and ongoing medical needs, staying connected mattered. Love INC paid the phone bill so she could stay in touch with doctors, family support, and others helping her
through that difficult season.

A local man was working full time and keeping up with his bills when a wage garnishment suddenly cut into his paycheck. With two children at home, the family was soon facing an electric shutoff. He paid what he could toward the bill, and Love INC helped with the rest. That help kept the electricity on while the family worked through the temporary loss of income.

A local family fell behind on bills after an unexpected job loss. Both parents were working again, but they were still trying to catch up while caring for their children. When they received an eviction notice and their electric bill was past due, Love INC helped with both. That support helped keep them in their home and keep the lights on while they caught up.

A local woman living with a disability depends on a power scooter to maintain her mobility and independence. When the scooter stopped working, it was not easy to find someone who could diagnose and repair it. Love INC spent weeks searching for help and coordinating with community contacts until the needed repair was identified. We were then able to cover the cost of the repair and help get the scooter back in service. Restoring that scooter helped preserve an essential part of her daily independence and quality of life.

A local couple was living in their car while they looked for a place to live. They had very little income, and when the car insurance came due, they could not pay it. Since the car was also where they slept, losing it would have made a hard situation even worse. Love INC paid the insurance so they could keep the car while they continued looking for housing.

Shelbyville Community Church has shown a real heart for people in need and for the work of Love INC. As one of our founding partner churches, they have supported us with kindness, encouragement, and a willingness to help. We are thankful for Pastor Brad and the whole church family. Their compassion for people has made their partnership especially meaningful.
