Cleveland County Choral Society

Cleveland County Choral Society We are a community choir in Cleveland County, NC—no audition required! We perform two concerts on the first weekends in May and December each year.

Directed by Kenneth Brooks and accompanied by Susan Canipe, we are a non-audition community choir, and we welcome new members all the time! Our Saturday concerts are at 7:00 PM, and our Sunday concerts are at 3:00 PM; both are held at Aldersgate Methodist Church on Highway 74 in Shelby, NC. These musical events usually last about an hour and a half. Our rehearsal seasons for these concerts are fro

m September to December and February to May. We rehearse every Tuesday night during these months from 6:30-8:30 pm, also at Aldersgate Methodist. We accept new members the first four weeks of rehearsal of each semester. Just come to one of our first 3 rehearsals of the season and sign up! Members pay dues each season to help support the Choral Society; adults pay $30, and students pay $20. We hope to see you at our next concert! And if you're a singer, feel free to join us for rehearsals!
