It’s is with great sadness we inform of the passing of Middle Creek Fire member, Charles E. Hackworth: Unit 102. Charles was a founding member of our department starting in 1984 and has wore many hats throughout his 39 year volunteer career with us, even after retiring- continuing on as a support member and Tax Board member. He has severed this community with so much heart, pride and willingness to help anyone in need. He’s going to be greatly missed. Please keep his family and fire family in your thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks to come.

Arrangements will be made available once finalized.

We are humbly asking that everyone stop and say a prayer for recovery for Middle Creek Firefighter Leland Ousley. He was injured in a two vehicle collision last night about a mile from Middle Creek Fire Station. He had just left the station after completing his final class to obtain his level 1 certification.

God Bless all of our First Responders!

10/23/2022

We are a small but growing group of Pike County Firefighters who are dedicated to forming an organization whose sole purpose is to bestow honors that are due to our fellow responders when they are taken from us. We are in the organizational phase of this group and have a lot of work ahead of us. I ask anyone that is interested to please talk with your department members and get them behind this program. Together, we can Honor our fallen Heroes.

The Pike County Honor Guard was formed in 2022 in order to have a uniformed group of personnel willing to conduct themselves above and beyond their primary roles as firefighters and leaders and to serve their fallen brothers or sisters and family in their time of despair and tragedy.
Pike County Honor Guard also pays respect to retired personnel, and distinguished community leaders who have passed away. Additionally, the Honor Guard represents Pike County Fire Fighters in support of regional and community events.
