Thank you all for your support as I work to help my dear friend Kindness for Kira! I wanted to share with you all that each time I raise $500 I instantly transfer the money to Kira’s mom. Her mom shared with me just a few nights ago that, thanks to all of your support, they were able to buy Kira an additional fan for her hospital room as well as some more port shirts since she has been alternating between the same two. They were very grateful and appreciative! I am very close to hitting almost another $500 raised- and I am hopeful that in the next day or so I will be able to transfer more funds to the family. Hi everyone. I have had such a good response from so many people willing to help create the Gift Card Tree Raffle for Kindness for Kira and I just want to say thank you. I am collecting donations until tomorrow, and then I will be making the tree to raffle off. Today should have been such a special day for Kira but she is experiencing issues and is hospitalized again. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers and we all just keep praying for her miracle to arrive and for her to be able to get new lungs again. If you have any gift cards to donate please reach out so my mom can pick them up. And if you’d like to donate I will also leave my Venmo. Happy Saturday! Thank you to everyone who has reached out or donated towards the GIFT CARD TREE RAFFLE for my dear friend Kindness for Kira. I currently have around $300 in gift cards, and I am hopeful to get the tree to a worth of $500 or more. My plan is to start the raffle by the end of next week. Hi everyone. I have been having some health complications and have been down and out for a few weeks now. I am sorry I haven’t been up to much, but I appreciate all of the love and support as I navigate this trying time. I wanted to provide an update to my current situation as well as let you all know that we are still working on the final details for the Lt. Bober Memorial. It is likely the dedication of the memorial will happen sometime early to mid summer. More details will be provided as the pieces and parts are all finalized.

In the mean time, a very urgent situation has come up and I am moved to help a very dear friend of mine. My friend, Kindness for Kira, has officially been listed for a double lung re-transplant. Kira and I are the same age, and we started our school journey together as Brookside Cardinals. Kira befriended me one day in kindergarten where she politely pointed out that I was not alone because she found out she needed a hearing aid, too. Kira and I have remained good friends and she is facing a very tough situation. Three years ago she was gifted new lungs, and a few months ago she found out she is in chronic rejection. She was officially relisted on Friday, May 1st. Her family travels to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus multiple times a month, if not weekly, and sometimes even more than that. A few family members and other friends will help me host a dine to donate at a later date this summer, but in the meantime we need to do something to help!

I am looking for GIFT CARD DONATIONS. I will be working on making a large gift card tree to be raffled off. Gift cards can be in any amount to any place! If you happen to have any lying around that maybe you aren’t using, please reach out to me. If you would be willing to donate a giftcard or funds to purchase a giftcard please let my mom know. A message to my page will let us both see any details. I am hoping to have all giftcard donations by next Wednesday, May 13th so that I can assemble the raffle and start selling tickets to raise funds for Kira Johnston and her family.
