🎭🐴 EARLY BIRD REGISTRATIONS: Music, movement, storytelling, and our amazing animal friends… what better way to spend Thursday after-school this fall?

Join us for our Animal-Assisted After-School Fall Musical Series at Le Petit Ranch, featuring a special guest and teacher Kate Magram. Children ages 5–11 will build confidence, creativity, and connection through hands-on musical theater experiences alongside our miniature horses, donkeys, sheep, guinea pigs, and more.

Back at Noble Horizons Horizons after a few weeks of summer break, and it felt so good to see everyone again! ❤️🐹

There’s something very special about watching our little guinea pigs bring smiles, joy, and people together. A tiny animal on someone’s lap can become the beginning of so much more: a conversation, a shared laugh, a story from years ago, a memory of a beloved pet, or simply a quiet moment of connection.

And that is exactly what we love about what we do at Le Petit Ranch. ❤️

It’s not only about bringing animals to people. It’s about creating opportunities for connection, sparking memories, encouraging conversation and sharing, and bringing a little warmth and joy into the day.

We loved seeing familiar faces again and hearing everyone’s stories. And, as always, our guinea pigs were very happy to be back at work, especially when treats were involved! 🐹🥕😂

STILL time to join ! ASL Classes for beginners are coming to Le Petit Ranch! ❤️

We’re so excited to welcome hillarybaack to the Ranch for a special 4-week Beginning American Sign Language course starting this Sunday!

This is more than an introduction to ASL. Hillary will also share Deaf culture, history, and her own perspective and experiences as a Deaf woman, creating a meaningful opportunity to learn both the language and the community behind it.

🐑 Sheep Encounter at the Berkshire Garlic Festival Aretha Whitehead Meet our flock, explore wool, and discover the important role sheep have played in New England’s history.

🎪 Animal-Assisted After-School Sessions with circus teacher Kate Magram at the Ranch on Tuesdays and in collaboration with Second Nature Arts in Stockbridge on Wednesdays ! A unique after-school program where children build confidence, creativity, movement, and imagination alongside our amazing animal partners.

🎨 Sheep & Art to celebrate Canaan Kids Artspace 1-Year Anniversary Celebration! Celebrate creativity and community while meeting our sheep during this special family event.

🤟 🧘‍♀️Wellness Retreat for caregivers with Families Like Ours at the ranch and Inclusive ASL Event at the Ranch with hillarybaack A welcoming experience for Deaf, hard-of-hearing, nonverbal, and signing families, led by Deaf educator Hillary Baack and sponsored by the friends of Bushnell-Sage Library and Miles and Smiles for Hadley

Our Ranch Life 101 Small Group Visits welcome 3–8 kids from siblings, friends, cousins, or family visiting the Berkshires, for a personal, hands-on experience with our animals.

At Le Petit Ranch, our animals aren’t only here for children. Adults can also benefit from the calming, grounding presence of animals too.

Through gentle, intentional interactions with our animals, individual sessions can offer a space to:

🌿 Slow down and reconnect with the present moment
🤍 Find calm during periods of stress or change
🐴 Build confidence and a sense of safety
✨ Explore emotions in a different, non-judgmental environment
🌱 Take time for yourself and recharge

Sometimes, simply being present with an animal, observing, touching, breathing, and connecting, can create a meaningful moment of pause.

✨🐑📚 Our Sheep Book Reviews continue in collaboration with Scoville Memorial Library Library, and today’s featured book is a sweet story about courage, growing independence, and spending the night at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.

🐑🌙 Sleepy Sheepy and the Sheepover by Lucy Ruth Cummins Cummins, illustrated by P E T E O S W A L D

Sleepy Sheepy is excited for a sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa… until bedtime arrives. Suddenly everything feels unfamiliar, and falling asleep away from home isn’t so easy. With warmth, humor, and adorable illustrations, this story reminds children that it’s okay to feel nervous when trying something new.

At the ranch, our sheep help children experience that same sense of calm. Their gentle presence encourages slowing down, taking deep breaths, and finding comfort in quiet moments.

Join Miss Marjorie & Miss Kyla from Scoville Memorial Library Library as they share the delightfully spooky story Creepy Sheepy, a fun Halloween adventure about being yourself, even when everyone else is dressed the same! 🎃💚 The book follows Sleepy Sheepy as he discovers that standing out can be even better than fitting in.
