The members of IAFF Local 4275 would like to recognize and commend the outstanding efforts of our A Shift members:
Captain B.J. Huge

FF/Paramedic Khalil Whitworth
FF/Paramedic Lucas Roberts
for their exemplary care of a critically injured traumatic patient on July 26, 2026.
During a challenging and time-sensitive incident, these members demonstrated the professionalism, teamwork, clinical knowledge, and dedication to patient care that our members strive to provide on every call. Their ability to work seamlessly as a team, communicate effectively, and perform under pressure reflects great credit upon themselves, A Shift, IAFF Local 4275, and the Sheffield Village Fire Department.
Local 4275 would also like to recognize the exceptional teamwork and collaboration between our A Shift members and Metro Life Flight. The coordination, communication, and mutual support between the ground and air medical teams were instrumental in providing the patient with comprehensive care and ensuring a smooth transition throughout the incident.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Metro Life Flight team for their professionalism, partnership, and continued commitment to patient care.
This incident serves as an excellent example of what can be accomplished when highly trained professionals from different agencies work together toward a common goal. The dedication demonstrated by everyone involved reflects great credit upon these members, their families, A Shift, IAFF Local 4275, and the profession of fire and EMS.
