Celebrating the holidays with our Rotary friends at Buhl Mansion last night! What a great evening honoring the new (and renewed) Paul Harris Fellows Colleen Goodwin and Al Kelly with our District Governor Aaron Sines. We were also excited to have the leaders of the Sharon City School District’s Interact Club and their great advisor Nora Songer. Cheers to the New Year and continuing to do go in our community!

Members of the Sharon High Interact Club placed painted stones with uplifting messages on them in the Rotary Peace Garden in October. The Peace garden is an initiative started by former Sharon Rotary President, Amanda Banic. Members of the Interact Club painted the stones, and hope to place more of them in the garden during the winter and spring of 2026.

These young ladies in Sharon's Interact Club (Rotary's high school branch) got up early on Thanksgiving morning and helped to pack up over 600 meals for clients served by the Salvation Army. For the 3rd consecutive year, the Sharon High School Interact Club (Rotary's high school arm), along with students in Sra. Songer-Groeneweg's Spanish classes, prepared care packages for clients served by Joshua's Haven, AWARE, and the Community Action Partnership of Mercer County. Each care package includes a bottle of water, socks, soap, a washcloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, a Christmas card and a candy cane. "The students realize that there are a lot of people less fortunate than they are," comments Songer-Groeneweg. "Even basic necessities can be seen as a welcome gift." In all, over 125 care packages were prepared and distributed.

In addition to the care packages, the students prepared Christmas cards for the residents at many of the local personal care homes, as well as for the Community Action Partnerships' Veterans' Christmas Party. Each card contained messages from the students and a candy cane. In all, close to 700 cards were prepared and distributed.

We are always thrilled to help great organizations in our area! Thank you for all you do Sarah Worthington and the Prince of Peace Center!!

We extend our deepest gratitude to the The Rotary Club of Sharon, PA for their generous support in funding a much-needed refrigerator for our Soup Kitchen.

This new addition will help us safely store more fresh ingredients, prepare meals efficiently, and continue serving our neighbors with dignity and care. Because of this gift, countless individuals and families will benefit—not just today, but for many years to come.

Christmas Care Packages:
Please help the Sharon High Interact Club provide a Merry Christmas for the clients served by Joshua's Haven, AWARE, and the Community Action Partnership of Mercer County by donating items for our Christmas Care Packages.

Each care package will contain the following:
* Washcloths or Small packages of wipes
* Toothbrush and toothpaste
* bar of soap
* stick of deodorant
* pair of socks
* bottle of water
* Christmas Card
* Candy Cane
Donations can be dropped off at the entrance to the Sharon Middle/High School Main Office. The deadline to donate is Wednesday, December 10th!

These are some pretty amazing Sharon High School kids! And one pretty amazing teacher! This is the SHS Interact Club… the student branch of The Rotary Club of Sharon, PA. They are out in the world “Doing Good”!! Thank you Nora Songer for all of the extra time you devote to advising these young people who will be our next generation of leaders and hopefully Rotarians!!!
