Greetings from the Community Growth Group of Shannon! To support our organization's goals of INSPIRING GROWTH OF OUR COMMUNITY AND ENHANCING QUALITY OF LIFE OF OUR FAMILIES, our non-profit organization has been working diligently on our town beautification project "Hometown Legacy Pots" for over 18 months and we are excited to announce that the Village of Shannon has approved the project and supports it with watering and refilling the pots annually, for the lifetime of the pots.
These pots are of the highest quality American-made Polyethylene which is embedded with UV Inhibitors to protect against sun fade. The pots are lightweight and have a lifetime warranty. The pots were chosen specifically for their self-watering feature - the reservoir on the bottom holds 40 gallons of water which reduces watering necessity to once every 2-4 weeks.
The pots are very tall at 36" height, and will feature another 3-4 feet of flowers and greenery, which will make these pots viewable to passing cars on Market St. With the recent elimination of all the trees on Market St., these pots will add back beautiful color and nature to our main street. An improved town aesthetic can draw in more visitors, new residents, and new businesses.
The Community Growth Group of Shannon is seeking investors for this rewarding town beautification project. There are 12 pots available at $750 each. This cost covers the price of the pot and dedication plaque, and soil and flowers for year 1. The goal for complete installation along Market St. is July 1, 2026. We already have 6 investors and are looking for 6 more. Dedication plaques can commemorate an organization, a company, or a loved one. Plaques will be displayed every year. Your one-time investment of $750 will be enjoyed by generations of Shannon residents and visitors.
In November the flowers will be replaced by a holiday-themed filler which will remain until January. The Village of Shannon will maintain and refill the pots ongoing, for the life of the pots.
Please consider this lifetime investment into the beautification of our town Shannon. Two investors can also share the cost of one pot.
