Leather Tooling Class

Discover the Art of Leather Crafting in a Fun, Hands-On Experience!

Kids ages 4 and up are invited to join this exciting, creative workshop designed to introduce the basics of leather tooling in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. It’s the perfect opportunity for young makers to explore their creativity and take home something they crafted themselves!

Whether your child is brand new to crafting or already loves hands-on art projects, this class offers a fun and welcoming space to learn real leatherworking skills while making something truly special.

You’ll Learn:

* Basic leather tooling techniques in an easy, beginner-friendly way
* How to use stamping and carving tools safely and confidently
* Creating fun decorative patterns and unique designs
* Finishing techniques to care for and complete leather projects

Our Pinewood Derby creative class and subsequent race was a GINORMOUS HIT! Omgeez so FUN ! We had a FUN DAY ! I loved seeing all of the unique ideas and designs the kids did with their cars . One little girl was nervous about racing and that lil stinkers car got second place out of 27 kids . The melted ice cream car , came out on top of the pack ! After the main race they spent the rest of the afternoon racing again and again . We will most definitely do a Pine Wood Derby car day again next summer . After all we now have this AMAZING TRACK that Micky Henry and Jim Skidmore custom built for Three Freckled Farmgirls !

It’s only Wednesday and we have already had so much creative FUN ! Monday we did paint pouring on canvases . The science of adding the silicone oil to the paint and water makes this art so amazing . And how it moves and changes until it dries is mind blowing .
On Tuesday we Mod Podged fun summer fabrics to wooden flip flop door hangers ( because we are all in DENIAL that summer is about to end ) we want summer to go on a little longer ! We painted and designed the perfect combo of paint colors and fabrics .
Wednesdays are the most popular day with the kiddos because we SEW on Wednesdays during summer camp . Sewing class is ALWAYS A HIT . Today we made zipper bags from recycled candy bags . This
is an all time favorite class . Several students had never sewn and they put a zipper in a plastic bag w fabric ! Yes ! It’s crazy how talented they are . The art project was polymer clay popsicles that they baked then painted . Yes SUPER TALENTED ! What a great first half of the week . Only TWO WEEKS left of summer camp ! Our last summer class is Tuesday August 11 th ! Don’t miss it .

Three Freckled Farmgirls is a place where kids dreams come true . We are an art and sewing studio for both boys and girls ages 4 and up . We explore the depths of your childs creativity thru all kinds of art . We have wonderful indoor and outdoor space . We are an electronic free camp , so no screens allowed . We do hand sewing , machine sewing , weaving , beading , embroidery , counted cross stitch , pendulum painting , paint pouring , centrifugal art , acrylics , watercolors , mosaics , resin , tie dye , cyanotype , leather tooling , pinewood derby cars and race , air dry clay, trash and recycle art , polymer clay plus more … much more !

We have great teachers that love the kids . And the kids love them !

With less than THREE WEEKS left of summer camp don’t wait to get your child signed up . You can do one day , three days a week or every day . We are flexible !

Open 715-6 M-F but you can come and go as needed . Classes are usually 9 ish - 11 ish and 1 ish -3 ish . Like I said we are flexible . Snack is at 3 ish and don’t you dare pick your child up before snack time ! lol the kids LOVE TFFG snacks and they will be mad they missed it .

Before ,between and after classes they have free time to play , do art or create on their own plus we have talent shows ,dance parties and play fun games ,

Please send them in play clothes with a water bottle and a lunch . It’s $40 per day per child .

There is only SEVENTEEN DAYS left of Lollies summer camp . Don’t wait ! Tuesday August 11 th is the last day .

AFTER SCHOOL INFO : Starting Wednesday August 12 , our after school classes will start . I pick up children at all SISD Campuses and class is over at 6 . I provide snacks . Art for ages 4 and up is available everyday M-F $25 per class . And sewing is available Tuesdays , Wednesdays or Thursdays $30 per class ages 6 and up .

Adult sewing is Wednesday mornings 9-11 $30

Homeschool sewing for ages 6 and up is Wednesdays 1-3 . We have a great group of homeschool kids that come . $30 per class per child

We are open all teacher workdays and most holidays .

TOMORROW is the much anticipated children’s leather tooling classes . Each child will get four leather coasters and will learn all of the cool techniques for designing their coasters . The class is $40 for the day . Send a lunch and a water bottle . Three Freckled Farmgirls children’s sewing classes are AMAZING . There are only THREE sewing classes left in summer camp . We teach sewing on Wednesdays . We are open 715-6 . The class is actually about 9-11am and 1-3pm . Absolutely no experience necessary. Join us on one , two or all three sewing classes that’s left in summer camp . Boys and girls alike love our classes !

Three Freckled Farmgirls is a children’s art and sewing studio , located in SHALLOWATER . We have wonderful creative play spaces indoors and out . We allow your child to explore the depths of their imagination thru playtime , art and sewing . Sadly summer is already half gone , so don’t wait ! Art is everyday and we add sewing to that on Wednesdays .

Open 715-6 M-F but your child can come and go as needed . You can attend everyday , one day , several days we don’t care when you attend we just want your child to spend some time with us !

Please send them in PLAY CLOTHES , with a WATER BOTTLE and a LUNCH . We provide snacks .

There is no registration fee . We are NOT A DAYCARE , we are a creative place for children to be children and use their imaginations . MUST BE 4 to attend .

Absolutely no electronics , phones , tablets , iPads , devices of any kind are allowed .

On Friday July 17 th is the leather tooling class. Each child will have the opportunity to make 4 leather coasters . This special class is included in the daily $40 cost per child per day . Please let me know if you want to bring your child to this great class . We have a guest teacher coming to teach it .

FBC VBS is this week and if you want your child dropped off and / or picked up and they attend TFFG we are more than happy to do that , just let me know .

On Friday July 17 th Three Freckled Farmgirls is having a special guest. Holt Hoelscher that will be teaching children’s leather tooling classes . Holt is a SHS student that loves leather tooling . Each student will make 4 leather coasters . All of the tools, leather and supplies are provided . It’s $40 for the day per student . Spots are limited . We are excited for this opportunity to teach a cool new craft . If we have several that want to participate but can’t come that day let me know and we will schedule another class on another day .
We are also doing a pine wood derby car class complete w race on Tuesday July 28th spots are limited . It’s also $40 per child for the day .
Ok course all classes are open to both boys and girls .
The $40 for these special classes are NOT in addition to what my daily campers pay . It’s $40 total .
Open M-F 715-6 classes start about 9ish and end about 3 ish . But most campers stay until 5 or so , so they can play and create on their own .
SEND A LUNCH AND WATER BOTTLE . Snacks are provided .
Our normal camp schedule is still going on. Sewing on Wednesdays and art and crafts everyday .
