"The students at Tokata Learning Center are participating in a live lab, tracking their bodies' responses to stress and practicing breathing and grounding techniques to apply brakes to that stress. With the help of a grant from the foundation, the use of pulse oximeters and bio feedback dots makes the impact of stress visible and applies the brakes for resetting our stress tangible.

Just this week a student was stressed about schoolwork. Within a couple of minutes, using 'box breathing', they watched their heart rate drop and felt their tension ease. As expected, they were able to focus more, sustain attention and complete their work."
