Phoebe Jeong-Hui Ward is an 8 year old girl who was adopted from South Korea at 8 months old. She is an active and vibrant 3rd grader who lives in Severna Park, MD. She loves Tae Kwon Do, basketball, lacrosse, cheerleading and having fun! In September of 2015 at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Phoebe was diagnosed with HLH (Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis). HLH is a rare
and life threatening auto immune disorder. Phoebe's treatment includes high dose steroids and chemotherapy. A bone marrow transplant may also be necessary as part of her life-saving treatment.
