GUESS WHAT!?!

Memaw Millie has officially been adopted and has gone into such a loving home! It was hard to say see ya later but she has an amazing new mom and so many adventures ahead of her. They are a perfect match!

Help me congratulate them both!

Memaw Millie says hey, guys!

She’s doing a little better after losing Pepaw Charlie. She was having a really hard time, but each day seems to be getting a little easier.

Memaw is the sweetest girl. She just wants love, a soft bed, and someone to be beside. She’s laid back, doesn’t mind cats, and is perfectly happy lounging around like she’s already retired and waiting on room service.

She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and now waiting to find her furever family and retirement home.

Basically, Memaw is ready for the good life: snacks, naps, love, and absolutely no nonsense.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who donated toward Pepaw Charlie’s cremation. It has now been paid in full because of your kindness.

The love and support y’all show for the animals we care for means more than we can ever explain. Thank you for loving them, cheering them on, and being part of their journey.

Saying goodbye is never easy. But knowing Pepaw Charlie was loved, cared for, and no longer alone at the end is what makes this hard part worth it.

Thank you for helping us give him the respect and love he deserved.

With a heavy heart it saddens me to share Pepaw Charlie passed away peacefully in his sleep last night. 💔

He was such a happy and sweet guy. Glad we were able to give him safety and the love he deserved while he was with us. He will be missed.

We will be having him cremated if anyone would like to help with the costs.

A big thank you to Billy for donating this much needed fan for our guys!

I’m a couple days late posting with everything going on, but we are truly grateful. This fan will help keep them cooler and more comfortable in this Texas heat, and it means more than you know.

Thank you again, Billy, for thinking of them and helping us care for the animals.

want to thank Buffy and David for everything they do to help us. I also want to thank my boys and their girlfriends for always stepping in and helping. Rescue affects everyone around you, and I could not do this without the people who show up beside me.

When I started rescue, I knew it would be hard. What I didn’t fully understand was how heavy it would feel emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Rescue is so much more than taking animals in and posting pictures. It is vet visits, food, cleaning, medications, sleepless nights, worry, heartbreak, and doing everything possible to help animals heal while trying to find them loving homes.

We pour our hearts, time, energy, money, and love into every animal we care for. We do it tired. We do it overwhelmed. We do it defeated. We do it heartbroken. None of us get paid to do this. We do it because these animals need a voice, they need compassion, and they deserve a chance.

Rescue is not easy or glamorous. It is hard, messy, and heartbreaking. But every animal who learns to trust, every life saved, and every happy ending reminds us why we keep going.

Please support rescues not just financially but also understanding everything we endure and keep on keeping on.

Help me congratulate the Busby's on their newest bundle of joy and Luna's new sister. She is absolutely precious.

Here is the message from her mom.

Hi! Just wanted to give a pupdate on Luna. She has been with us 4 months now and is thriving here in Maine. She welcomed a human sister in March that she absolutely loves. She has her own fenced yard to zoom around in. She gets long walks through the neighborhood. Sometimes she even shares the bed with us if she's feeling snuggly. She is very high energy and quirky, but we love her so much, and she definitely seems to be loving her new life. ❤️🐕
