Calling all HEROES!!! It’s time for our annual Shop With A Hero event!!!
When: Wednesday, December 20th 2023
Where: Walmart in Seneca (1636 Sandifer Blvd, Seneca)
Time: 0700 at the Lawn and Garden entrance
For those who aren’t familiar, Shop With a Hero, SWAH, is a non-profit organization that hosts events throughout the year to raise money to purchase Christmas presents for underprivileged children in Oconee County. On December 20th, volunteers will be paired with a child currently in DSS custody. During this time, breakfast will be provided for you both, Santa will be available for pictures, AND you get to SHOP for needed and wanted items!!! Simply put, this is an excellent opportunity to give back to our community and put a smile on a child’s face.
To help smooth the flow, when you arrive at the Lawn and Garden entrance, you will immediately be paired with a child. We hope to avoid long standing lines at entry and exit points. All gift cards will be held at the registers labeled ‘Shop With A Hero.’ We ask that you keep your totals as close to $250 per child to maintain consistency and equality. Please attempt to use $75 of this to buy clothing, shoes, etc. Overage cards are available if needed.
