Tonight, we were pleasantly surprised with some goodies for our firefighters! We are so incredibly thankful and grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity shown to our department.

Serving this community is something we are truly proud of, and we are so blessed to have such an amazing community behind us. Your support means more to us than you know!

On behalf of all of the firefighters, we would like to send a huge THANK YOU to all of the businesses who donated and helped make this surprise possible, and a special thank you to Heather for putting it all together!

We appreciate each and every one of you and are proud to serve our community!

🔥🔥🔥The Selby Volunteer Fire Department was proud to send four firefighters to Eureka to complete the Proper Way to Fight Propane Fires course as part of the Firefighter I & II certification program.

💲The cost for these four firefighters to complete their Firefighter I & II certification was $1,400.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community through fundraisers, donations, and events, we’re able to provide our members with valuable training like this. Every class they attend helps build the knowledge and skills needed to respond safely and effectively when emergencies happen.

A special thank you to the Eureka Fire Department for hosting this excellent training and to CHS for donating the propane used during the live-fire exercises. Your support and generosity made this valuable hands-on training possible.

🙏Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Selby Volunteer Fire Department. Your generosity directly helps us better protect and serve our community.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from the Selby Volunteer Fire Department! 🇺🇸

As you celebrate our nation’s independence with family and friends, we want to remind everyone to put safety first.

🎆 Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby.
🎆 Only sober adults should light fireworks.
🎆 Stay at least 25 feet away from spectators, homes, and vehicles.
🎆 Never relight a dud—wait 20 minutes, then soak it in water.
🎆 Soak all used fireworks before throwing them away.
🐾 Keep pets safely indoors, as fireworks can be frightening and cause them to panic.

A few extra precautions can make all the difference in keeping your family, neighbors, and community safe.

If a fire starts or an emergency occurs, don’t hesitate—call 911 immediately. It’s always better to call early than to let a small fire become a large one.

From all of us at the Selby Volunteer Fire Department, we wish you a fun, safe, and happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸🚒

You all never disappoint!

The Selby Volunteer Fire Department is incredibly honored to serve such a generous and supportive community. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out, donated, volunteered, and supported our fundraiser. Your continued support helps us better serve our community and makes events like this a success.

A special thank you to Ken’s Western Lumber for generously donating the griddle that was raffled off, and to Scott Simons for donating the fi***rm for our raffle. Your generosity helped make this fundraiser a success, and we truly appreciate your support of the Selby Volunteer Fire Department and our mission to serve the community.

We would also like to thank everyone who stayed after the fundraiser to play bingo with the Royal Neighbors. Thanks to your participation, we were able to reach our $500 matching goal!

If you enjoyed your meal, please help us thank the businesses who made it possible!

A huge thank you to CHS for generously donating all of the food we cooked, CamWal for donating the cups, and C&B for donating the plates and silverware. We would also like to extend a special thank you to May Acres for hosting us and providing a great location for our fundraiser.

We truly appreciate each and every one of you. Whether you attended, donated, purchased meals, played bingo, or simply helped spread the word, your support means the world to us.
