Guadalupe County 100 Club

Guadalupe County 100 Club A non-profit organization committed to standing behind the men and women who stand behind the badge. The response was 100 percent.

The idea of the 100 Club began in Detroit, Michigan in 1952 after a local businessman was moved to action when a police officer was killed in the line of duty. The businessman wrote to 100 of his friends encouraging them to donate to a fund for the fallen officer's family to get them through this emotionally and financially trying time.

We here at SFD are asking our Seguin community and other followers to rally around one of our own this evening. Seguin Firefighter/Paramedic Roger Dean is currently on an ECMO machine fighting for his life due to complications from covid-19. Roger has been with the department nearly 3 years now and serves on C-shift as one of our FTO’s. He and his wife Stephanie also recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Attached is a GoFundMe set up for him and his family. We also ask that you please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

Prayers go out to these families! ❤️🙏

Our family in blue is mourning the loss of our fallen brother, Officer Justin R. Putnam, who was killed in the line of duty last evening. Officer Putnam was with SMPD for more than five years. Words can never adequately express our profound sorrow for Officer Putnam's family and loved ones. To say he will be missed is an understatement. Two other officers were wounded during the same incident, Officer Franco C. Stewart and Officer Justin P. Mueller. Both are in critical but stable condition following surgeries. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families. We respectfully ask that all three families are given time to grieve and deal with their situations in private but we thank the community for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. We greatly appreciate it.
