We're Moving! And We Could Use Your Help!
Big things are happening at Artable Curiosities!
We're getting ready to move into our new home at 256 W. Court St. in Seguin, and there's a whole lot to do!
There's plenty we could use help with RIGHT NOW! Cleaning, prepping, boxing up materials, and getting organized. Over the next two weeks, we'll need extra hands for painting, and our big move starts November 7 & 8!
We're also looking for a few things:
* 4–6 sturdy tables for art and workshops. Old dining tables and worktables are great!
* Chairs — they don't have to match, just be safe and sturdy.
* Small mini fridge
* 55-gallon cardboard barrels with lids
* Packing tape and tape dispensers
* Shelving for our expanded spaces
Why the bigger building?
We've outgrown our space, and there's so much more we want to do!
We're bringing our creative reuse shop, studios, and dedicated Educator Resource Area together under one roof!Public and charter school teachers will continue to receive FREE classroom materials and resources throughout Artable Curiosities, with a larger area set aside specifically for their needs.
The extra room means more materials for teachers, more workshops, and room to grow our inclusive programs.
Down the road, Phase 3 will bring our community maker space to life, with room for art, tools, hands-on learning, and all kinds of creative possibilities.
A COUPLE OF IMPORTANT UPDATES!
📦 Material Donations: Our Intake area will be the first to move! Through November 6, continue bringing donations to our current location. Beginning November 7, donations will be accepted at the back of our NEW building at 256 W. Court St., in the designated donation area.
🎨 Workshops: We're not stopping the creativity while we move! All scheduled workshops will continue at The Schoolyard through the end of December.
This has always been a community-powered place, and we wouldn't be where we are without the people who believe in what we're doing.
Want to help? Whether you have a couple of hours, a whole day, or something on our wish list, we'd love to hear from you!
Call 830-340-1067, send us a message, or stop by the shop. We're gathering names and contact information now so we can reach out as help is needed.
We will be up and running in our new home and ready to open by the 1st Wednesday in January. (Maybe sooner with your help).
More space. More possibilities. More curious souls! ❤️
